The Operations Theatre Technology program at the diploma level is called the Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT). With the help of this curriculum, candidates will be ready to work in the operating room with other members of the healthcare team, providing patient care under the direction and supervision of senior physicians and technical staff. A variety of diagnostic tools, including ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, C-arms, and patient assessment techniques, are taught to candidates. The skills and information needed to oversee infection control guidelines and practices in the operating room are also included in training. OT technicians are employed in emergency departments, hospitals, and intensive care units. They are mostly in charge of supporting medical professionals and surgeons during procedures and emergency operations.
